Text Title - Tomorrow when the war began

Author - John Marsden

Ellie Linton, A character in the Story Tomorrow when the war began, an adolescent from a coastal region of Australia with her friends on an outing for a camping trip in tailor's stitch. The camp lies in a deep forest dubbed, ‘Hell” by the locals of Wirewee. However, upon their return, the teenagers discover that their families, friends, and fellow locals within the town of Wirewee were imprisoned by an Alien Military force from another country. Ellie and her friends have to assemble and unite after they are caught scouting about by the invaders. They retreat back and strike when they have laid a proper base, this is the beginning of their war/engagement against their mysterious enemy..

I believe that the message of this text is Survival. Survival has been a vital factor in the story as they’re first venture in hell came towards the end. When Ellie and her group of friends discover that their town, that their country had been invaded, they began to gather supplies necessary in aiding them in hell and their war. When they came upon the town and how the residents were being subjected to imprisonment they began making plans to assist themselves in surviving Hell. After researching about war in other countries like Ukraine and about ordinary typical teenage lifestyles, Does Ellie and her Friends have what it takes to survive the war and Hell. Ellie and her people are preemptive in the situation within the tale, I say it because they exhibit raw determination and strong morals In their journey of survival and miseres. Their qualities are high because they demonstrate competence, Resourcefulness, Organization, and bravery in the face of their adversaries when confronted by the invaders. One instance was in the showground where these existing qualities were put on the strengthening point.

My favorite character and a positive role model from the story to me, in tomorrow when the war began, by the Author John Marstan is the character Homer. He is profoundly known as a troublemaker in the eyes of his friends, he's just a prankster to them and others. He lets this happen due to all the attention and positivity it brings to others day in consequence of it.  He is Ellie's neighbor and childhood friend, they are well acquainted until Homer decides to show his true self. After the group leaves hell and discovers everyone missing, there are traces of an invasion in past events from hell. Homer changes into an incredible leader who is organizing the group well, and supposedly gives back morals to their dire straits. One situation of his quick adept into a leader role is when he splits the group into a scouting party to cover more ground and lessen the chance of encountering a foe. He also was helpful in attempting to make a close explosive out of a lawnmower with Ellie to defend themselves from enemies following their position. Without him, they wouldn't have gathered the necessary resources in time or convinced Ellie that they could think up something to get out unscathed. His motivation and creative thinking deserve to be recognised in my opinion because he takes risks and ensures that everyone's efforts can accomplish bigger things.

In the novel, ‘Tomorrow, when the war began’, by the Author John Marston ,something that I had to rethink about was when Homer said that the only risk is to not take any risk. It was brought to my attention that I believe this to be important because they had done some incredible feets and were able to progress discretionary through the starting stages of their war. I Think the Author John Marsden conveys that an ideal and most important message to think upon from the novel is and a quote ''the only risk is to not take risks at all”. This quote is from a character named Homer. He is a natural leader who takes charge in the story when they're in direstrights. It made me question how real this quote is in the real world. I suppose that the war happening in Ukraine had been one situation where civilians and soldiers alike had to band together strategies to push back their invaders which would be risky to their lives. But without their risks, the invaders would cover more ground and have the advantage over the ukraine's and put them into an even worse situation. By risking their lives, they had opened new doors and opportunities to buy time and gather intel on their enemies. Like in the story, Elie, Corrie, and Keven had investigated the town for people and discovered that they were being held captive. They got shot at but they reasonably gathered tons of information that prevented their own from any losses. I think that this story is insightful and full of good wisdom to have off hand.

I believe that the novel is very good and I would recommend it to others because the characters are depicted to be normal teenagers, their perspective on the invasion had changed my own view of things. So because of that, I give it a 8/10. But I would not recommend it to a younger audience because of reasons.

Thanks for reading!!.

Creation of a College- Hell (The place described in the book- tomorrow when the war began).

It is a wild place. Full of brown and green. Deep forest and rocky terrain.

This image is a reminder to the river they had walked, most likely the one heading down the path. It looks quiet and shady. Not a place you would call hell, actually it's the opposite. It's a sanctuary.

These are Satan's steps. They are large ridges like blocks heading in an upwards direction. These led up to hell. Again, inst hell is supposed to be a pit of eternal doom?

There are many gaps between the blocks that can be used to climb up. Here we see just above the second step of hell. It has many patches of grass. It also looks very secluded too.

The Forest like area from where the path had led to. It's an above canopy view. A view above the helter skelter. A place where children are being confused and reckless.

The hole leading within the crack had led to a creek with lots of water to wash sweat off of. This looks like a paradise that would hold a beautiful home. Why would hell be so lushus, is it called hell because of the hermit?

A better view of the region by satins steps near hell. Looks like a place in Lion king.
