SST 2022 year 10 topic, goals setting and reflecting.

These are my goals for 2022

  1. When I need help I know to ask my matua/whaea for example or search on my own.
At the end of this term, I want to be able to say that I achieved my goal of achieving merit or higher.

  2. One piece of advice for myself this year is to have a reflective journal to remember the important lessons I had studied.

  3. One thing I was proud of from last year is that I managed to prepare myself to get through the year on time and also had over average scores on tests.

  4. My main focus this term is to recover myself by gathering information I may need for the rest of the year and settle down/recuperate myself to be engaged.
all my subjects while increasing my confidence.

  5. These are my action steps to help me get there:
Organize myself to be sufficient and attentive.
Participate in more activities for more confidence.
Help myself to the information within the library.
Getting myself out of my comfort zone by playing in a sport( either soccer or hockey).
Become a role model and a good friend.

year 9- message on consumerism. 2021

Main message about consumerism from this video

Consumerism

In my opinion, It is an absorbing video that has many captivating insights about the consequences of consumerism, it just as well represents future side effects too. We are digging the earth for all its resources yet most of it is used but then wasted after its years or gone and sent to a landfill. While we gather the resources of our devices, we are also ruining our environments. Ecosystems in the process are forced to leave or killed in their homes because people are destroying their habitats. These are just a few examples of people who harm the things that make places truly beautiful for their own self centered benefits.

what are the Consequences than benefits?

Negative effects, our more developed nations have outsourced in most of their non renewable resources. Increase of Exploitation of  labour workers, of sophisticated weapons of mass destruction enhancing great nations with unbelievable power and raining onto foreigner lands, and lastly the reduced ability of the government and the peoples to act in all these things.

positive effects, our less developed nations can collaborate independently with other places bringing communication to everyone. Equality is now more
